Day 1 of Hudson Havoc Main Camp is in the books. ✅ The day started with player orientation, where we introduced our staff, outlined our development model, and shared what it means to be part of the Hudson Havoc program. Players then hit the ice for structured practice sessions in two groups, giving our coaching staff the opportunity to teach, provide feedback, and showcase what a typical Havoc training environment looks like. These sessions also allowed us to evaluate players in a controlled setting while building relationships throughout the process. The afternoon featured our 3-on-3 tournament, which brought a high level of competition, energy, and excitement. The fast-paced format created a fun environment for the players while providing our staff with valuable evaluation opportunities and insight into each athlete’s compete level, hockey IQ, and creativity. To wrap up the day, players traveled as a group to visit our strength and conditioning and physical therapy facilities, where they met Brittany and learned more about the resources available to Hudson Havoc players throughout the season. 🚨 SIGNED 🚨 The Hudson Havoc are excited to welcome Liam Langone to the organization for the 2026–2027 season! We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Liam Langone to the Hudson Havoc. Liam was a standout performer for the LA Jr. Kings 18U AAA program, finishing second on his team in scoring while being trusted in every situation. He’s the type of player coaches can put on the ice at any moment and know he’ll make the right play. What stands out most about Liam is his complete game. He combines a relentless work ethic with high-end hockey IQ, skill, and attention to detail. He competes hard in all three zones, leads by example, and consistently impacts the game whether he’s producing offensively or doing the little things that help teams win. From my perspective, Liam checks the three biggest boxes I look for in a player: compete level, hockey IQ, and coachability. He brings a consistent work ethic every day, thinks the game at a high level, and is the type of player who embraces coaching and is committed to improving. Beyond his abilities on the ice, Liam’s character is equally impressive. He is focused, driven, coachable, and brings a genuine passion for the game every day. 🚨 WELCOME TO HUDSON, COACH MACK 🚨 The Hudson Havoc are proud to announce Chris “Mack” Mackenzie as the Head Coach of our USPHL Premier team for the 2026–2027 season. Mack brings an incredible hockey background to Hudson as a former 13-year professional hockey player and St. Louis Blues draft pick. During his playing career, he was part of four consecutive Minor League championships, along with a Junior championship in Toronto. After his playing days, Mack stepped away from the game and began coaching his kids’ volleyball, football, baseball, and hockey teams. After helping guide his son through his Junior hockey career and now off to college, Mack is ready to give back to the game and help do it the right way. After speaking with Adam, Mike, and Russ, Mack is confident that the group shares the same beliefs and values needed to build a successful season and a winning culture here in Hudson. Mack resides in Fishers, Indianapolis, and has three kids — Mia, Ella, and Jack. And yes, Frank the Rottie will be joining him in Hudson! 🚨 TENDER ALERT 🚨 The Hudson Havoc are excited to announce the tender of Micheal Schmidt for the 2026-2027 season! “I watched Micheal Schmidt the other weekend at a showcase and he immediately stood out. Him and his linemate, Will Cymbaluk, who we’ve already tendered, were two of the most noticeable players at the event. Micheal is a big center who skates extremely well, competes hard, and has excellent hockey sense. Watching the way he commanded the middle of the ice and controlled play really got us excited about what he can bring to our program. What makes Micheal even more unique is his versatility. He played defense all last season and was an important part of the Granite City Lumberjacks team that won the NA3HL National Championship. Being trusted in that role on a championship team says a lot about both the player and person he is. 🚨 TENDER ALERT 🚨 The Hudson Havoc are proud to announce the tender of forward Will Cymbaluk for the 2026-2027 season! “I first saw Will at a showcase weekend, and he immediately stood out as my favorite player at the entire camp. I remember turning to my assistant coach multiple times asking, ‘Are you seeing the same thing I am?’ Out of the 200+ players at the event, Will was one of only four players I approached afterward. He separated himself that much. Will is an extremely dynamic and creative player. His playmaking ability, high-end skill, and explosive skating jump out immediately. He has the ability to create offense out of nothing and consistently makes the players around him better every time he’s on the ice. Jim brings over a decade of coaching experience to the game, including 11 years dedicated to high school hockey. For the past 8 years, he has been proud to coach at Centennial High School, where he helped develop student-athletes both on and off the ice. Jim is coming off last season having assisted Russ Barone at the Blue Ox USPHL team. Jim played his high school hockey at Anoka High School. He, then had the opportunity to continue playing NCAA college hockey at Minnesota State University. After a successful 36-year career in the corporate world, Jim was able to retire early and transition into a more passion-driven chapter of his life. Drawing on a lifelong love of hockey, he now dedicates much of his time to coaching high school and junior hockey players. With a focus on skill development, mentorship, and character building, Jim is committed to helping young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the ice. Jim resides in Lino Lakes, MN, with his wife, Andi.
